Cornelius Grandberry enlisted and served six and a half years in the United States Army as a Military Police officer. Upon completion of his Army contract, he entered into the United States Air Force. There, Staff Sergeant Grandberry served five and a half years as a Security Forces team member. During this time in both United States military branches Staff Sergeant Grandberry served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Mr. Grandberry received his Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Liberty University. After receiving a bachelor's degree, he went on to graduate with his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree with a concentration in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University School of Divinity (residential). During this time he served as a Campus Pastor at Liberty University.
Mr. Grandberry has always had a passion for people, specifically those experiencing tumultuous times in their lives. This passion led him to pursue Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). It was at this time Mr. Grandberry completed a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) internship at Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia. After completing a Master of Divinity degree he went on to complete a CPE residency at Penn Medicine in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Chaplain Grandberry has been employed as a Clinical and Trauma Chaplain at several hospitals to include Tower Health in Reading, Pennsylvania, Virtua Health in Burlington County and Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Mr. Grandberry is the founder of Immersion World Foundation whose vision is to see, “The World Rooted and grounded in the fullness of God’s love.” The mission is to “inspire and empower urban communities through community-based partnerships and funding, to provide and promote education, shelter and unity in a safe Christ-centered culture.”
Mr. Grandberry is also the co-founder of “Professional Chaplain Community Education” (PCCE) whose vision is “A world where educated chaplains of all ethnicities are entrusted by their community to provide spiritual support.” The mission is to “educate community leaders on professional spiritual care.”
Mr. Grandberry has served on executive boards, taken part in various community outreach initiatives as an ordained Protestant nondenominational minister. In 2019, Kevin officially began his conversion to Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Currently, Mr. Grandberry is attending Hellenic Holy Cross School of Theology in Boston, MA in hopes to receive Holy Orders as an Eastern Orthodox Christian priest.
